I was researching for a post on plants as architecture when I came across this photo of this amazing sculptured Yew tree on Joseph Hellenmeyer’s blog.
I originally had in mind finding some really great examples of the ancient practices of pleaching and pollarding. That will come next, but here I pay tribute to the 82 year old Jake Hobson and his mastery of the art of pruning.
